    Rock Bolts

    Rock bolts are steel bolts or bars installed into rock to reinforce and stabilise the rock mass.

    They are commonly used in tunnelling, mining, slope stabilisation, retaining structures, portals, cuttings, and civil ground support works. Rock bolts help hold fractured, jointed, or unstable rock together, reducing the risk of movement, collapse, or rock fall.

    A rock bolt is usually installed by drilling a hole into the rock, placing the bolt into the hole, and securing it using grout, resin, mechanical expansion, or another anchoring system. Once installed, the rock bolt works with the surrounding rock to create a stronger and more stable ground mass.
