Canopy Tubes
Canopy Tubes
Canopy tubes are steel tubes installed ahead of an excavation or tunnel face to provide overhead ground support before the main excavation takes place.
They are commonly used in tunnelling, underpasses, shafts, portals, and difficult ground conditions where the ground above the excavation needs extra support. The tubes are usually drilled or driven into position in a row or “canopy” pattern, creating a protective umbrella-like support system over the excavation area.
